Vinegar could prevent fat buildup, thus weight gain, mouse study shows. Vinegar worked at genetic level, by influencing genes linked to fatty acid oxidation and energy burning proteins, researchers learned. Previous research linked vinegar intake to eating less, reduction in cravings brought on by sugar peaks after meals.
